Governance Policy
Editorial Board
The Editorial Board consists of a group of researchers, professors, and scholars from various national and international educational and research institutions, with representation in the scientific community. This board does not necessarily act collectively and does not foresee regular meetings with specific agendas. There is no formal affiliation between its members and the entity responsible for the publication of the journal. The responsibilities of the members include providing opinions on issues related to the improvement of Editorial Policies, suggesting reviewers, promoting the journal, brainstorming strategies for action and innovation in the academic and professional fields, and addressing ethical issues when necessary. Although it does not interfere in the editorial process, the Editorial Board can be summoned by the Scientific Editor for deliberations involving strategic and/or operational matters. Its role is to maintain the scientific rigor and credibility necessary to underpin the credibility of a scientific journal.
Scientific Committee
The Scientific Committee is composed of members from the scientific context, representing the areas in which this journal exerts influence, from Brazil and abroad. Its objective is to promote the scientific nature, rigor, and reliability of the editorial process, which consequently guarantees the credibility of the publications. In addition, it must be committed to ethics and the criteria for indexing in renowned databases, as well as seeking institutional and financial support for the journal's maintenance. The members act individually and, if necessary, collectively to reflect on editorial policies and procedures. The Scientific Editor leads the committee and may request individual or collective contributions through meeting invitations. The committee may also request meetings to address issues related to the structure and development of the journal. The Scientific Committee does not interfere in the editorial process of the journal.
Scientific Editor and Associate Editors
The Scientific Editor is responsible for the editing of the journal, both in technical and scientific terms, and relies on a support team for routine administrative matters involved in the editorial process. In this journal, the process is carried out through an electronic system, which makes it impersonal and transparent, as stated in the editorial process provided by the Open Journal System (OJS) platform. It is the responsibility of the editor and associate editors to evaluate the manuscripts in advance (desk reject), including assessing authors' adherence to submission guidelines, forwarding them to reviewers, managing the review process, and publishing approved manuscripts. The Scientific Editor coordinates the actions of the Scientific Committee and works together with the Editorial Board to reflect on the strategic issues of this journal.
