Cooperative industrialization in the contemporary capitalism

Abstract

This study aimed at presenting an alternative organizational forms for micro and small business in the Brazilian industry of textile industry. The main idea was to verify how the existence of cooperation and a structure of coordination can make feasible a competitive position to the small companies, so that these companies can confront the increasing competition from the contemporary capitalist structure. For this reason, a theoretical foundation was formed with regard to the concepts of competition, xx, enterprise network formation and cooperation, xx based on contribution from the Industrial Economy as well as topics on Contemporary Capitalism. From the theoretical foundation developed here, steps related to the study of case took effect, markedly to the study of operations and also the way of coordination developed by COOPNATURAL, a textile cooperative association. As a complement for the case study, a collection of information was performed, including technical information related to the production of colored cotton, its productive chain as well as general aspects of textile industry in Brazil. The conclusions from this paper pointed out that such formation has provided xx the enterprises involved in this formation with a more competitive position in the market and also satisfaction with regard to the imposed conditions connected with their survival in the contemporary capitalist structure.
